  • 3 week class - 2 days a week - 3 hrs each
This Lighting Design Class coincides with the production of Odd Couple, so that students can get hands-on lighting experience as part of the practical application of their learned skills. That class is tentatively going to be taking place the week prior to and the week of Tech Week, with work days scheduled in the mainstage on January 25th and February 1st. Classroom work will be January 28 and Jan 31. This class will include basic light board programming, as well as lighting maintenance, repair and focus/design. The class will require students to be available evenings to work the actual show as needed.

Ever wonder about the stunning lighting effects created on stage during a production or how to know which light works to create a mood or best light an actor? Stage magic happens in large part by the creative minds and hard work of designers and technicians behind the scenes. Join Arts Center Technical Theatre Director Richard Kiraly for an introduction to stage lighting covering the various aspects of lighting a theatrical production. Ages 16 and up except by special permission.
