RESCHEDULED FOR 2021!
On April 3, ’20, “One Life” was to premiere.
Then COVID decided to rudely interfere.
Rescheduled to October, when dogs would have their day,
The Arts Center was eager for folks to sit and stay.
But wait! Governmental powers now have spoken
with guidelines and rules for venues to reopen.
Tango-dancing doggies cannot touch, for instance.
And dogs in love will have to maintain social distance.
Theatres are ordered to be half full or less,
a serious financial problem to address.
I calculated, figured, reckoned and puzzled,
concluding that the show, for now, just must be muzzled.
So in 2020, the dogs won’t dance or sing.
Cast and crew, however, continue practicing.
For October 22, twenty-twenty-ONE
“One Life, Dogs the Musical” will then begin its run!
Now heed these final words as I end this doggerel:
“Wear your human muzzles, be safe and please stay well!”
